No Ultrasound (U/S) today. I rescheduled it for Tuesday afternoon. With all the excitement and the prospect of seeing our baby, I didn't realize at the time that Chris wanted to be there. DUH! Thinking back it was so silly on my part, but it is important to both of us that he is there. So we will wait until Tuesday to see our little peanut (or "baby Mac" as I have been calling it the past couple of days). Plus there might be more to see then, as I will be 6 weeks. Once we have the U/S I assume we will get an official estimated delivery date (EDD). According to my calculations and some websites we are looking at October 21st.
Have a nice weekend :-)

2097....
Is my latest Beta level, Woohoo :-) Tomorrow I am going to have an U/S!!! When the nurse called she said 'now is the time to schedule your U/S, I can do 10:30 tomorrow or sometime next week'. I was like 'see you tomorrow'!
My father's bday is tomorrow so we are having a quiet family dinner - pizza at the house. We are going to take this opportunity to share our exciting news. Then on Saturday we are having a family dinner with my in-laws, both my SILs will be there. So the timing is perfect to tell them. Since I really want to tell our family in person, we will wait until Sunday to tell my mom, as she will be down (she is having surgery on Monday, and is staying with us for a couple of weeks). It works out great that we will be able to tell all of our family this weekend. At this point we are only telling our immediate family. Both my mom and sister have commented I don't seem like myself and have asked if everything is ok, it will be nice to tell them what has been going on.
As for me - I feel good. I have some of your typical early pregnancy symptoms, but nothing horrible at all, so no complaints. My breasts feel like melons (I have always, um been 'blessed' in this area, but damn they seem huge) and are so tender. No true "morning sickness", I have had bouts of queasiness and my stomach has been off; but overall I am quite lucky so far. The tiredness on the other hand has knocked me for a loop. It is weird because it is like I just hit a wall and it happens around the same time every night (8ish), but then I seem to get a second wind. The past two nights I went out to dinner with girlfriends and I quickly faded after dinner and was thoroughly exhausted. For now I am blaming it on work (which isn't really a lie, since that is crazy right now).
I am so thrilled about tomorrow's appt and will post again about that soon!
Tata for now :-)

My first entry
Hello! This is my first blog entry. I am not sure how this is going to work yet, how often I will post and what type of info, so please be patient as it is a work in progress. I will try to post frequently. To be honest I have been thinking about doing this for awhile and last night Chris suggested I start a blog, since we are at the beginning of a new journey for us....
Our exciting news is, we are pregnant!!!! Unbelievable! I am still in amazement. I tested on Thursday, Feb 15th. When I looked at the test and saw the 2 lines, I couldn't believe it, I must have checked it a dozen times. Thank goodness I didn't test until around 5pm, so I didn't have to wait that long for Chris to come home. I ran to the store and got some burp clothes that say 'I love Daddy'. That night when Chris came home I gave him a belated V-day gift. His reaction was priceless. For a split second he was confused and didn't know what to make of it. I was bursting with excitement and he was thrilled. We have had quite an interesting 8 months trying to get here (we were gearing up to do our first IUI treatment this month, so imagine our shock when it happened on its own!!). For those of you who know me, I was absolutely giddy. Friday I went for a blood test at the doctor's which confirmed our news (progesterone levels were good and Beta was 89). On Tuesday I went back to have my beta levels checked and they were up to 750 which was great. I go back on Thursday and if they doubled again (like they are supposed to) next week I should be able to have an US.
As of now we haven't told anyone. It is nice to have this little secret and keep it between the two of us. Not sharing our news, has given us time to let it sink in and enjoy the quiet time together. Although it is getting harder and harder not to tell anyone (especially for me), so we plan on telling our immediate family this weekend.
Till next time :-)
